RESTORATION SERVICES

At Lilium Homes we have over 20 years experience, knowledge, and skills working within period properties

Scotland’s current residential housing stock dates back many centuries. Beautiful Georgian and Victorian buildings still stand proudly as residential properties.  Sadly, many have been badly converted over the decades.

Lilium Homes work alongside many skilled Scottish trades that have continued to follow in their forefathers' footsteps: stone masons; roofers; blacksmiths; specialist cornice and plaster restorers; artisan woodworkers and other traditional trades, that take great pride in their work.

Throughout a restoration project, we work alongside Conservation Planners, Historic Environment Scotland (HES) for Listed Buildings and local government’s building standards teams. We strive to help clients sympathetically restore their property, be it a part or full restoration. These projects can take time, effort, and investment to get right. Seeking professional advice and support from an experienced contractor, will save you money and assist you in achieving a first-class restoration.

VICTORIAN MANSION HOUSE

Lilium Homes are currently working on an exciting project in Bearsden. This Victorian Mansion dates back to the 1900s and was originally built by one of Glasgow’s famous Fairfield yard shipbuilders.

The property had been split into two separate homes, with a number of unsympathetic changes made to both inside and out during the 60s. We are delighted to be lead contractor charged with restoring this stunning property back to a single dwelling.
While every consideration is being made to restore all original features and replace many which had been removed during previous renovations, the property will benefit from the latest in green technology and renewables wherever possible.

Restoring the integrity of this property, while upgrading it with sustainable green technology and ‘smart home’ systems, is the perfect blend of old and new and will see this Victorian Mansion, enter the 21st century in all its splendour.
